Borneo FC Samarinda succeeded to get a 3-2 victory over PSM Makassar in Segiri Stadium, Samarinda on Sunday (10/8) afternoon.


Playing as the home team, Borneo FC appeared confident from the start of the first half. In the 21st minute, an opening goal scored by Matheus Lopes through a header after receiving a pass from Terens Puhiri, 1-0 to Borneo FC.


Not long after that, Borneo FC again doubled their predominance through hard kick by Terens Puhiri in the 35th minute, Borneo FC was 2-0 up.


In the 40th minute of the match, Borneo FC's first scorer, Matheus Lopes, made a mistake by breaking Pavel Purishkin in the penalty box. Marc Antony Klok who became executor managed to convert it into a goal to the right goal Borneo FC, 2-1 PSM minimize the position.


In the first half of the match Borneo FC led 2-1 over PSM Makassar. In the second half, Borneo FC increasingly pressing. Now, Lerby Eliandry who became the third goal scorer for Borneo FC in the 50th minute. Assist from Terens Puhiri able to be headed perfectly by Lerby Eliandri. And then Matheus Lopes did a mistake again on the 84th minute.


Improper ball control in front of Borneo FC goal utilized by Hamka Hamzah to minimize the distance to 3-2. The final minute of the game had occurred chaos in front of goalkeeper Borneo FC. However, PSM Makassar players failed to take advantage of that opportunity.


Until the referee Novari Ikhsan blew the final long whistle, the final result remained 3-2 for the home team victory of Borneo FC. These results bring Borneo FC up one ranks to 10th position of the 2017 Go-Jek Traveloka Liga 1 standings with 39 points. Meanwhile, PSM Makassar failed to overtake Bali United in runner-up position.
